The American University of Antigua[1] was co-founded by Neal S. Simon, a lawyer and former president of Ross University[citation needed]. AUA began instruction in 2002. In 2008, Bengaluru-based Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) bought the school from New York-based Greater Caribbean Learning Resources, Inc., framed Manipal Education Americas, LLC. In 2006, AUA College of Medicine was supported by the New York State Education Department and, in 2011, perceived by the Medical Board of California.
