JEE Advanced 2025: IIT Bombay has issued the new JEE Advanced 2025 exam dates on the official website – jeeadv.ac.in. As per the new schedule, the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be held on 18 May, 2025.The candidates need to know that the JEE Advanced exam will be conducted in two shifts. The JEE Advanced exam 2025 will be conducted in the form of two papers – Paper 1 from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper 2 from 02:30PM to 05:30PM. Both the papers are prepared from the JEE Advanced 2025 syllabus as released by the authorities. And admission to IITs will be through counselling conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Further dates were not released officially. The candidate must check the updates regularly.

Eligibility Criteria
JEE Advanced eligibility criteria are the conditions that every candidate must fulfil to be eligible for appearing in the exam and admission process. The criteria of minimum 75% marks in class XII Board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in class 12 examinations have been waived off. Candidates who are found ineligible will be disqualified from admission. JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility criteria have been listed out below:
Age Limit | General category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Relaxation of 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category. |
Qualifying Examination | A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2024 or 2025 with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates who had appeared in Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2025. |
JEE Main | The candidates should have qualified for the JEE Main examination and must be in the top 2,50,000 candidates in order of merit. The candidates should also meet the cutoff for admissions into IITs. Overall, 10% of general EWS category candidates will be shortlisted, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all. 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates, within each five categories. |
Number of Attempts | For JEE Advanced, the candidates would be able to attempt the examination two times in two consecutive years. |
IIT Admissions | The candidates should have never taken admission in an IIT irrespective of whether they continued the programme or not or just accepted the seat by reporting at the centre. Application Process
The JEE Advanced 2025 registration dates are not available on the official website. The JEE Advanced 2025 application form will be available on its official website jeeadv.ac.in from April 2025 – May 2025. Candidates will have to submit the application form for JEE advanced 2025 before the last date. Candidates have to register and fill out the application form, including personal, academic, parents, and communication information. Students have to pay the application fee for the form. The steps to fill out the JEE Advanced 2025 application form are below.
How to fill JEE Advanced Application Form?
Registration – Firstly, the candidates will have to use their JEE Main 2025 roll number and password to log in. Any additional information which has to be provided had to be entered by the candidates.
Fill up form – In the second step candidate need to fill personal details like phone number, email id, address etc. If any information is found to be incorrect, may lead your cancellation of application.
Uploading of Documents – Next, the candidates have to scan the required documents and upload them as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities. The documents to be uploaded are – the 10th standard certificate/birth certificate, 12th standard examination mark sheet, and category certificate (if applicable).
Payment Process – The registration fee has to be paid by the candidates online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (cash using the SBI option). The fee is different as per the category that the candidate belongs to.
Submission and Print Out of Confirmation Page – Finally, the candidates must submit the application form and print out the confirmation page for further reference.

Admit Card
The admit card for JEE Advanced 2025 will be released online mode. Only those candidates who have registered themselves will be able to access the JEE Advanced 2025 admit card. It is an important document to be carry at the exam centre. Information about the examination centre and timings will be mentioned in the JEE Advanced 2025 admit card. Inability to make the admit card will lead to the candidate’s disqualification from attempting the examination. Along with the admit card, the candidates will also have to bring valid photo identity proof.
Result
The JEE Advanced 2025 result will be declared online at jeeadv.ac.in. The result of JEE Advanced 2025 will be released in the form of a scorecard containing marks secured by candidates in both the paper and all India ranks, qualifying status and cutoff marks. JEE Advanced 2025 Cutoff
JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff is the screening process for inclusion in the rank list and admission to the IITs. The cutoff is divided into two parts – qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff. The qualifying cutoff of JEE Advanced 2025 consists of the minimum marks that the candidates have to secure to be listed out in the rank list. The admission cut off is the minimum rank the candidates will have to secure to have higher chances of admission into the participating institutes. The cutoff will be different as per the category, course, and institute selected by the candidates.

Counselling Process
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts counselling for JEE Advanced qualified candidates’ admission. The authorities will release the JoSAA 2025 seat allotment phase-wise on its official website. The exam conducting management will release the JoSAA mock seat allotment on the official website. Candidates will have to register and select their choice of colleges and courses for the 1st round JoSAA 2025 counselling and seat allotment process. JoSAA 2025 seat allotment for rounds one, two and three have been announced on the official website. Candidates are allotted seats in the participating IITs according to their secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats.
