SNUCEE Exam Guideline:
- Entrance exam duration: Two hours (Online examination)
- Exam pattern: The test will encompass both aptitude (45 minutes) and core subjects (75 minutes)
- All exams will be entirely online. Applicants can appear from any place for these exams with a computer and reliable internet connection.

Cutoff
The SNU Chennai Cut off is the minimum mark prescribed by the selection board for the admission of students. A merit list will be designed on these Cutoff scores. Type of Scholarship
The types of Scholarships proposed in SNU Chennai are listed below:
| Merit Scholarship | All the programs at the university are covered under this scholarship, which will be awarded to deserving students. For the First-Year students, the scholarship will be awarded based on the marks secured them in the Shiv Nadar University Chennai Entrance examinations (SNUCEE) and the top scorers (two students each from B. Tech – AI & DS and CSE (IoT) programs and one each from B. Tech CSE (Cyber Security), B. Com, B. Com (PA) and B. Sc. Economics (Data Science) programs) will be awarded a specified amount and a certificate. The scholarship will be based on the marks secured during the preceding year’s examinations for the senior students. |
| Merit-cum-Means Scholarship | Every year, scholarships will be awarded on the criteria of Merit-cum-Means to first-generation learners whose family annual income is less than three Lakh Rupees. The scholarship awardee will be eligible for a waiver of 75% of Tuition fees, provided that they have no backlogs. Also, Merit-cum-Means scholarships will be awarded to non-first generation learners whose family annual income is less than three Lakh Rupees. The scholarship awardee will be eligible for a waiver of 50% of Tuition fees provided that they have no backlogs. The students have to submit the Income Certificates of family members duly signed by the Tahsildar. In addition, the First generation learners have to submit the first-generation certificate duly signed by the Tahsildar. |
| Walk-in-Walk-out Scholarship | The top ten rank holders of any State Board or Central Board of Examination at the Plus Two level are entitled to pursue UG programs through a waiver of Tuition fees for the entire duration of the program in SNU Chennai, provided that they have no backlogs. The student is expected to produce the certificate from the Board of Examinations concerned, showing that they have passed the examination within the top ten ranks. |
| Sports Scholarship | Sports scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding records in sports. Typically, students who have participated in National and International level competitions conducted by accredited Sports Boards are eligible for these scholarships. |
This scholarship will be awarded to eligible students for the first year only.
- In the case of first-year students (categories ‘e’ and ‘f’), their level of participation in sports in the 11th and 12th standards will be considered. In contrast, in the case of second/third/fourth-year students (categories ‘b, ‘c’ and ‘d’), their participation in sports in the preceding year only will be considered for the award of a scholarship.
- The Scholarship Committee will select the candidates to award all the scholarships.
- Awarding scholarships is solely at the discretion of the university.
