International University of Health Sciences[1] (IUHS) is a private medical school in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis. It opened in 1998 with headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and its campus in Basseterre. IUHS is accredited by the government of St. Kitts & Nevis and listed in the World Health Organization (WHO) World directory of medical schools. The school curriculum is based upon the US model, requiring four years of study, including the Medical Science Program of research and a clinical practicum. Completion of the coursework results in a Doctor of Medicine degree.
