Eligibility Criteria
MAT eligibility criteria comprise the academic qualifications, age limit, and nationality, which the candidates must check before filling out the application form. The MAT eligibility criteria for 2025 are the same for IBT modes.
- Candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized institute or university to apply for the examination.
- Even final year graduation students from any stream can apply for the exam.
- AIMA hasn’t mentioned any age limit for the exam.
- Interestingly, one can appear for the exam as many times as possible.

Application Process
Following are the steps to guide you through the online registration process:
- Register by providing the necessary details.
- Login using your email, password, and date of birth, and click on the “Submit” button.
- Select the mode of exam.
- Fill Registration Form & Choices for Management Institutes(MI).
- Upload required documents.
- Make Payment of registration fee through Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking.
- View/Download Registration form and take printout

Documents Required

- Scanned image of the photograph (Size: 10 to 50 kb).
- Scanned image of the signature (Size: 5 to 20 kb).

Exam Pattern
The exam duration is 2 hours (120 minutes). Each section has 30 questions, and each question carries 1 mark. Candidates are advised to strategize their preparation as per the exam pattern of MAT 2025. It will allow them to score better in the exam.

Mode of Exam
There are four different mode of the exam. Candidate can choose any mode as per their convenience. They can also select more then one mode of exam by paying an additional fee of ₹ 1500.

Exam Preparation Tips
There are some tips for candidate to prepare for exam. Let’s have a look.

- Make a timetable according to your routine.
- Prioritize the subject you are weaker in and give them extra attention.
- Practice sample paper, previous year paper and mock test regularly.
- Revise daily to ensure you don’t forget what you’ve learned.
- Stay consistent and avoid distractions.
- Be positive, motivated and live a healthy lifestyle to prepare well for the exam.
Admit Card
Candidate can download their admit card from the official website- mat.aima.in by entering their registration number and date of birth. Admit card will be released online. AIMA will not send the hard copy of the admit card to any candidate. Take a printout of Admit card and keep it safe.
Result
Candidates can check the MAT result on the official website -mat.aima.in. All candidates who appear in the exam must enter their Registration number and Roll Number to check and download the MAT result. AIMA does not send any copy of the result through email and post to the candidates. MAT score is valid for one year. More than 600 B-schools across India accept MAT scores for their admission process. Candidates are shortlisted first based on their MAT score and called for the selection procedure – Writing test, GD, and PI. The selection rounds may differ from institute to institute.
MAT 2025 Cutoff
The MAT 2025 cut off can either be in the form of percentile or marks. The cutoff depends on various factors, including the Difficulty level of the test, the total number of test-takers, the total number of seats offered by an institute, etc.

Selection Process
While applying for 2025, candidate can select up to 5 Management Institute. The candidate will shortlisted on the bases of cutoff set by each institute. After getting shortlisted candidate will go through further selection process such as Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). However, some registered college do not conduct GD ad PI round and make selections based on cutoff score. After completing all the rounds, selected candidate will get a callback and require to follow the further admission process.
