The Medical University Sofia[1] is the oldest Higher Medical Education Institution in Bulgaria, and it was founded in 1917. The Medical University – of Sofia comprises 4 faculties: Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Public Health. The University has the Central Medical Library, Medical College for education of paramedics (social workers, X-ray technicians, assistant pharmacists, dental technicians) and the Language training and Sports Center. A total of 13 University hospitals are associated with clinical and educational bases. More than 82,000 medical specialists have graduated since its foundation, including 10,500 international students from more than 80 countries.
