University of Aden Republic of Yemen is the first Yemeni college after Sana’a college, established in the Republic of Yemen that same year. The foundation of the College of Education in 1970 and Nasser’s College for Agricultural Sciences in 1972 was the launching point of the University of Aden. The two colleges were under the jurisdiction and authority of the Minister of Education. In 1974 the College of Economics was founded. Later on, it has various faculties like the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Administration etc.

About Aden City
- Aden is the temporary capital of Yemen.
- It is situated along the north coast of the Gulf of Aden and lies on a peninsula enclosing the eastern side of Al-Tawāhī Harbour.
- The country can be divided into three climatic zones. It’s mostly desert, hot and humid along the west coast. Temperate in the western mountains affected by seasonal monsoon and extraordinarily hot, dry, harsh and desert in the east. Summer months in Yemen are warm to extremely hot.
