Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)[1] is a public examination college in Richmond, Virginia. VCU was established in 1838 as the clinical branch of Hampden-Sydney College, turning into the Medical College of Virginia in 1854. In 1968, the Virginia General Assembly consolidated MCV with the Richmond Professional Institute, established in 1917, to make Virginia Commonwealth University. The VCU Health System upholds the college’s medical care instruction, examination, and patient consideration mission.
