Scope of NEET PG
NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is an important exam which will be the single eligibility cum entrance exam for post graduation courses like MD/MS for the academic year 2025-26. The NEET PG exam will cover the following:
- All India 50% quota seats for all States and Union Territories of India.
- State quota seats for all States and Union Territories of India.
- All Private Medical Colleges, Institutions, and Universities/Deemed Universities across the country.
- Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
- Post-MBBS DNB Courses and Post-MBBS NBEMS Diploma Courses.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to apply for the exam or participate in the counselling process must check the eligibility criteria before applying it. candidate must meet the NEET PG eligibility criteria which have been summarised below:
- Aspirants must possess an MBBS degree/provisional Pass Certificate, which is recognised as per the provisions of the NMC Ac, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
- They should also possess a permanent/ provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council.
- They must have completed the duration of 12 months of Compulsory Internship or complete it before 31st March 2025.
NEET PG 2025 Application Process
Follow the steps mentioned below to complete the admission process:
NEET PG 2025 application process involves registration, filling up details in the application form, paying the exam fee, and uploading documents. The application process starts with registration. Only those candidates who register themselves on the official website of NBE, nbe.edu.in will be able to submit the application form for NEET-PG 2023 Counselling. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.
- Visit the official website of NBE, nbe.edu.in and select NEET PG 2025.
- Click on New Registration.
- Fill all the details mentioned in the form.
- Click on Submit.
- After the successful NEET PG registration process, a login ID and password will be generated and sent on registered email id and mobile number.
- Login again in application login zone.
- Fill centre and personal details in the form.
- Candidates had to upload scanned copies of photographs and signatures as per the size and format mentioned.
- Candidate had to pay a non-refundable fee to complete the application process.
- Take a print out of filled application form.

Candidates who will appear in the NEET PG will be able to download the NEET PG 2025 Hall ticket on the official website, i.e. nbe.edu.in. Here is the step-to-step guide. Let’s have a look.

- On the homepage, click on the NEET PG 2025 tab and ‘Candidate Login.’
- Enter your login details, as asked.
- Enter any two details from – Application Number (6 digits), Date of Birth or Email ID.

Dress Code
Due to many candidates, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) follow some strict policies. These policies are form to maintain discipline and fairness during the exam. It is mandatory for every candidate appearing in the exam to follow the dress code. The dress code for male and female are as following:
For Males
- Wear simple pants and shirts.
- Full-sleeved shirts or T-shirts are not allowed.
- Clothes should not have pockets, zippers, large buttons, or multiple layers.
- Avoid wearing layered clothing.
- Kurtas and pyjamas are not allowed.
- Choose simple footwear. Boots, shoes, or any covered/concealing footwear are not permitted.
- Light slippers or sandals are recommended.
For Female
- Wear half-sleeved Kurtis/shirts.
- Long or fancy sleeves are not allowed.
- Keep it simple, avoid embroidery, frills, or layered clothing.
- Avoid any jewellery, whether metallic or non-metallic.
- Fancy footwear is not allowed. Avoid boots, heels, stilettos, and shoes.
- Choose slippers or open sandals.
Answer Key
The NEET PG answer key contains answers to all the questions asked in the exam. However, the NBE does not release any official answer key. But some coaching centers and institutes provide unofficial answer keys shortly after the exam. By using these, candidates can check how many of their answers are correct or incorrect and calculate their estimate marks in the exam.
NEET PG 2025 Result and Scorecard
NEET PG 2025 Result will be declared online mode at natboards.edu.in on Last week of June 2025 (Tentative). Candidate must visit the official website and login to the registered account. Download the NEET PG result PDF and print a copy for future reference. Verify the details mentioned in the result. The cutoff will be released along with the result. Check the NEET PG cutoff percentile and scores according to category.
NEET PG 2025 Cutoff
NEET PG 2025 cutoff, the minimum qualifying percentile, will released by NBE. Various factors decide the NEET PG cutoff 2025, including the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, availability of total seats, and difficulty level of NEET PG. The minimum qualifying percentile for general candidates is 50th, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is the 40th percentile.

NEET PG Counselling
NEET PG counseling started after a month of results are announced. Candidates must participate in the counseling process to get admission to postgraduate medical programs. It includes: 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, managed by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) and 50% State Quota seats, managed by state medical councils.
The AIQ for NEET PG counselling 2025 includes the following:
- 50% All India Quota seats of all states (participation of the Union Territory of J&K is subject to their contribution of seats).
- 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions mentioned in Important Questions related to Scheme of Counselling duly uploaded on MCC website.
- 100% seats of Deemed Universities.
- 50% AIQ P.G seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).
- All P.G seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions(only Registration part).
- Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS & RML Hospital and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur(50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P University).
