The University of Malawi[1] is the centre of knowledge and development of skills, values, ideas and attitudes for engaging developmental challenges in the country. The University of Malawi (UNIMA) was a state-funded college in 1965 and made up of four constituent schools in Zomba, Blantyre, and Lilongwe. Of the four schools, the biggest is Chancellor College in Zomba. There are five constituent colleges: Chancellor College in Zomba, focusing on science and humanities. The Polytechnic in Blantyre focuses on engineering, commerce, and applied sciences. The College of Medicine in Blantyre concentrates on medicine, health and pharmacy, and Bunda College in Lilongwe focuses on agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. Kamuzu College of Nursing in Blantyre and Lilongwe concentrate on nursing and midwifery.

About Zomba
- Zomba is a city in southern Malawi. It was Malawi’s capital until 1975.
