UP NEET 2025 Counselling New Rule Regulation (Out)

The Directorate of Medical Education and Training has released the official Government Order (GO) for NEET UG 2025 MBBS/BDS admissions, detailing the guidelines for online counselling, eligibility criteria, reservation policies, minority quota, and fee payment. Admissions to all government, private, and minority medical/dental colleges will be conducted exclusively through the centralised online counselling process managed by DGME.

UP NEET Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Domicile	Candidates must be domiciled in Uttar Pradesh or have a valid Uttar Pradesh residency certificate.
Educational Qualifications	Applicants must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects.
Minimum Aggregate Marks	– General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology in the qualifying examination. – Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must have 40% aggregate marks.
Age Limit	Candidates should be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for NEET UG, as per the latest regulations.
NEET UG Qualification	Aspirants must have qualified in the NEET UG examination and obtained the minimum qualifying percentile as determined by the regulatory authorities.
Mandatory Subjects in Qualifying Exam	Indian citizens, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) are eligible.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2025 Procedure

Candidates can visit the official portal of the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow, UP, to get themselves registered for NEET 2025 Uttar Pradesh State Counselling. Below, we have mentioned the step-by-step process of counselling.

Step 1- Online Registration

• Candidates can apply online by visiting the website https://upneet.gov.in.
• For registration, the candidates will use their NEET-UG roll no and email ID (used in AI-NEET-UG registration) and follow the instructions on the screen.
• After that, the candidate’s AI-NEET-UG registration details will be displayed.
• The candidate will make an online (Netbanking/ Credit/ Debit Card) payment of 2,000/ rupees. SMS will be sent to their registered mobile no (used for AI-NEET UG registration) to confirm successful registration.
• For the password you created at the time of registration, kindly note this password for choice-filling.
• After a successful payment candidate will get a Transaction number and registration number on their registered mobile number.

Step 2: Online Security Money Payment

• Those aspirants are eligible for choice filling who will build a successful online payment of Rs. 30,000/- for Government seats & Rs. 2,00,000/- for Private seats as security money.
• After paying for security money, and the state merit list has been announced, the online seat choice filling will be available per the earlier schedule.
• Candidates would be able to take a printout of their online payment receipt.

Step 3: Merit Declaration

• State merit, the list reference shall be AI-NEET-UG 2025 ranking.
• The final merit list will be published on the website.

Step-4: Online choice filling

• Visit the official website and click on the choice filling.
• After logging in, the choice-filling can be done in several sessions, but remember to save and continue; otherwise, you will lose your work.
• The choice filling will not be complete until you finally submit and lock.
• After choice filling, the seat allotment results will be displayed online.

Step 5: Seat Allotment

• Log in to the website. Your seat allotment will be displayed.

Documents Required

Candidates allotted a seat at UP NEET 2025 Counselling will be asked to report with the following documents to complete the admission formalities.

• 10th Certificate
• 12th Certificate
• 12th Mark Sheet
• NEET UG 2025 Admit Card
• NEET UG 2025 Result/Scorecard

• Pay Fees: Follow the instructions on the letter and the university website to pay the centralised advance tuition fee.

Security Money

The candidates must pay security through a demand draft favouring the Director General, Medical Education & Training, UP. The Demand Draft will be payable at the nodal office in Lucknow. The security money will be returned to the candidates after completing the admission procedure to the Medical College. The Security money will be paid at the time of the Document Verification.
