Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must read the full eligibility criteria before applying. Key details include:
- Qualifying Exam: Must have passed NEET UG 2025

- OPEN/EWS: Minimum 50% in PCB in HSC (150/300 marks)
- Reserved + PwD: Minimum 40% (120/300)

- Age: Min. 17 years as on 31 Dec 2025, No upper age limit (as per NEET rules)
- Domicile: Must be a Maharashtra domicile (with exceptions)
Institutional Quota (For courses other than MBBS/BDS)
Seats are open to all India candidates, including NRIs, OCIs, and Outside Maharashtra students who qualify NEET UG. Institutes will fill these seats based on merit among applicants.

Maharashtra NEET Counselling Process
- Registration Process: Visit the official website of Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. Register to participate in Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2025, complete all the required details, and create your login credentials.
- Document verification: After successful Registration, the eligible applicants must participate in a document verification process, and you are required to report to the assigned verification centre. You have to carry all the necessary documents at the centre of verification.
- Choice filling and locking: Candidates log in to their official portals after the document verification. You must fill in your choices of courses and colleges according to your priority; candidates must also lock in their choices after filling out their options.
- Seat allotment process: Based on choices made, seats, merit rank, and reservation categories, candidates will be allotted seats for the Maharashtra NEET admission 2025 Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. Maharashtra declares the result of the Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling.
- College Reporting: Candidates must report to the allotted colleges, and they have to write within the specified dates and timings.

- Parent’s Domicile Certificate showing they are from a village listed as a hilly area.
- Candidate must have passed SSC/HSC from:
- A school/junior college in the hilly area of the parent’s domicile, or
- At least from the same taluka of the parent’s residence.
- Proof of schooling in the same taluka (SSC/HSC mark sheet or school leaving certificate).
- Additional Documents for D-2 Category (Defence – Maharashtra Domicile)
- Certificate from Zillah Sainik Board for the parent.
- Parent’s Domicile Certificate from Maharashtra.
- Additional Documents for D-3 Category (Defence – Transferred to Maharashtra)
- Certificate from Defence authority stating the parent is serving in Army/Navy/Air Force and is transferred to Maharashtra.
- Parent’s Domicile Certificate from outside Maharashtra is accepted only if transferred.
- Additional Documents for MKB (Disputed Area) Category
- Certificate stating the candidate is from the disputed area.
- School record showing Marathi as the mother tongue.
- SSC/HSC passing certificate from a school in the disputed area.
MHT CET NEET UG 2025 Counselling Choice Filling
Candidates eligible for MBBS/BDS Courses can only fill out the Preference Form.
Online Preference /Choice Filling:
- Online Preference / Choice Filling will be only ONE TIME, and these preferences will be used for CAP 1st round & all subsequent round(s), including Mop-Up round(s) and upgradation of college (if any).
- No request for a change of preferences will be entertained once the selection is Locked.
Filling of Status Retention Form Submission:
- If a candidate who has been allotted a seat WISHES to participate in the next/subsequent round(s) – they SHOULD NOT FILL STATUS RETENTION FORM.
- If a candidate who has been allotted a seat DOES NOT WISH to participate in the next/ subsequent round(s) they SHOULD FILL in a STATUS RETENTION FORM.
- The filling of the Status Retention Form is the choice of the candidate. Institutes/ Colleges SHOULD NOT FORCE candidates to fill Status Retention Form.
NOTE: The Schedule for the Second and subsequent Round(s) for MBBS/ BDS Courses will be declared in due course. This schedule is Only for MBBS and BDS Courses. The Schedule for BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BPTh/ BOTh/ BASLP/ BP&O/ B.Sc.(Nursing) will be declared in due course.
Seat Reservation 2025
The candidates recognised by the State of Maharashtra as belonging to the following Backward Classes shall alone be eligible to claim admissions against the seats reserved for such backward class categories.
