Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates must be 17 as of 31.12.2024, and there will be no upper age limit.
  • The candidates must be permanent natives of Odisha OR Children of All India Civil Service officers serving in the state of Odisha cadre.
  • The candidate must have passed +2 Sc. and in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology at +2 Sc. level for General Candidate (GE), 40% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for benchmark disability candidates (PC-GE). NRI means the children or wards of a person of Indian origin residing
outside India. The NRI candidates, who have qualified for the NEET-UG 2024, are eligible. Such candidates have to submit the following documents in support of NRI eligibility.

  • New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.
  • Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): Similar to Round 1.
  • Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): Similar to Round 1.
  • Reporting to college (Round 2): Here, it is to be noted that those allotted seats in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats as per the orders made by the Supreme Court of India.

Selection Procedure

  • The Exam conducting authority will make the merit list of the selected candidates for admission after the NEET State Counselling.
  • Admission Seekers will be selected based on their rank obtained and choice filled during counselling.
  • Admission Seekers must report to the allotted college for admission and all required documents.
  • If any student fails to report to the allotted college within time, this candidate’s seat will be forfeited.
