Established in 1936 as the Perm State Pharmaceutical Institute, the institution underwent a name change to Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy in 1995. By 2005, it officially became the state educational institution known as the “Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy of the Federal Agency for Health and Social Development.”
In 2011, the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation oversaw the state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education, “Perm Pharmaceutical Academy.” By 2012, it underwent a transition to become a state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education. Today, Perm Pharmaceutical Academy is acclaimed as one of Russia’s premier medical universities.
