Buryat State University Russia, named after Dorzhi Banzarov {1} (BSU), began its history on February 10, 1932, and Buryat State University Russia was established on September 30, 1995, when by the Decree of the Council of People’s Commissars of the RSFSR in the city of Verkhneudinsk, the Buryat-Mongolian Agro-Pedagogical Institute was opened. The director of the created university was appointed M.P. Khabaev.
In connection with the 25th anniversary in 1957, the institute was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Buryat-Mongolian ASSR. In 1979, by order of the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR, BSPI was assigned to higher education institutions, which was a recognition of the achievements of his teaching staff.
