NEET (National Eligibility and Admission Test) is a national-level medical entrance exam in India for students interested in studying MBBD/BDS/Ayush/BSc. Nursing courses at various government and private medical colleges in India. NEET Counselling 2023 is the process by which candidates are assigned seats based on their NEET score and rank. The Directorate General of Health Services manages the NEET Counselling 2023 procedure on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% All India Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges. The different state administrations undertake state-level counselling for the remaining 85% of seats in government and private colleges inside their jurisdiction.
The Medical Counselling Committee is the authorised body to conduct counselling for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test, NEET UG 2023, for qualified applicants. NEET UG 2023 Counselling Date will be posted here as soon as they are notified. On the basis of NEET 2023, MCC would hold NEET counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government institutions and 100% in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programmes. The NEET AIQ NEET UG 2023 Counselling process in 2023 will be separated into four rounds: round 1, round 2, mop up, and stray vacancy.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2023 Counselling

- Only NEET-UG 2023 qualified applicants are eligible to apply for NEET Counselling.
- Jammu and Kashmir applicants will not be eligible to participate in All India NEET counselling unless they give permission.

- All NEET-qualified candidates can participate in the AIQ counselling for Deemed Universities.
Central University Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2023 Counselling

Counselling for 15% All India Quota
- The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India, will hold the Counselling for 15% of All India Quota Seats.
- All deemed central state universities will participate in online counselling.
- This counselling will also fill ESIC, AFMC, BHU & AMU seats.
- Candidates will apply for 15% All India Quota seats per the directions of DGHS, and Counselling will be stopped soon as the seats are filled.
- Through this counselling, candidates can get enrolled in any of the medical colleges in India.
- Those candidates who participate in All India Counselling can also participate in State Counselling of their respective states.
MCC NEET Counselling Process for AIQ Quota
Candidates applying for Medical/Dental Colleges in India must register for the AIQ NEET counselling 2023. Counselling of NEET for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.
- Candidate Registration: Register on the official website.
- Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and lock in the preferences in the online portal.
- Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online based on available vacancies and candidate’s choices.
- Reporting to college: Those who will be allotted a seat in the first round must either reject the assigned seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.
- New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.
- Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): This is similar to Round 1.
- Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): Similar to Round 1.
- Reporting to college (Round 2): Here, it is to be noted that those allotted a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats as per the orders made by the Supreme Court of India.

Important Instructions candidates need to follow:
- The candidates who want to report online can join the allotted college by sending a confirmatory email regarding the acceptance of seats and uploading scanned copies of relevant documents as mentioned in the e-information brochure. Hence, the verification of the documents has been done by the allotted college through scanned copies sent by the candidates.
- The candidate who wants upgradation in round 2 while retaining in round 1 has to report to the colleges at the earliest time physically.
- The candidates reporting online should ensure that the admission letter must be received and able to download from the official website; without an admission letter, the online reporting will be considered null/void.
- The candidates can check out the email id/ Phone number/ Nodal officer of colleges on the official website.
- The Candidates can pay the requisite fees to the allotted colleges through their official portal to be notified in advance by the college authorities on the college website.
- All admission made online will be considered provisional; after the candidate visits the colleges, the physician will consider their admission final after verification of documents.
- The candidates who want to resign from the round-1 process must resign through 16 February 2022 at 4 pm. The Online resignation will be considered appropriate; if the candidate resigns offline, that will be regarded as null/void.
- The candidates who want to avail of” free exit” do not want to visit the allotted colleges.
- The Online reporting is only valid when the candidate has covid or other family members are dealing with it. Otherwise, they have to report to the college on their time.
